SS2 needs an "Edit All" button

I was just looking at Zero-G's Nostalgia and I noticed it has a feature that SS2 should adopt. It has an "Edit All" button which lets you edit any parameter across all parts. I love using SS2 for individual synth parts, but when it comes to making complex layered patches, all I can modify across the entire patch is the pan and volume. I can't sweep the filter, sync an LFO, or change the envelope across all parts at once. Any chance this feature will be part of the v2.1 upgrade?

Your response put a big smile on my face
P.S. I wrote a song exclusively in SS2 called "First SS2 Song". You can listen to it over at my soundclick site.

Hi Chisel, nice work on that track. Are you using an arpeggiator for that top-end synth beeping around the background?chisel wrote:Your response put a big smile on my face

Some critiques: I would like to hear the snare have a bit more crisp and punch to it. dont be afraid to sprinkle some distortion or cabinet on there, i dont know play around with that one - it was a little too clean. Also maybe a bit more variation as the track keeps progressing, throw in some of the Reverse Cymbals in the Elementz section, stuff like that. All and all sounds cool.

Wrong forum but I see SS2 being mentioned. I purchased SS1 through the group buy and still find it very useful. I am interested in SS2 but found the demo to be less than inspiring. IS the main purpose to capture the old analog beauties or is to provide a workstation sonic arsenal? The demo tends to make me think that the sounds are mostly simplistic analog type sounds. What is the break down of simple to complex . Also , am I eligible for the cross-grade price from SS1 (through group buy) to SS2.

Right that's a good question. I think at the end of the day SS2 is able to serve the exact same job that SS1 did in terms of offering a wide array of sounds in one spot, but this time around it's just amplified to the Nth degree. So not only do you have all these great vintage keyboards, drums, strings etc you now have a mega-synth collection.Scotty wrote:Wrong forum but I see SS2 being mentioned. I'm curious to hear how others would describe the change. Sonic Synth 1 is really what kicked started my life as a composer. A bold statement but true!

Yes, you can get the crossgrade which is totally worth it. SS2 does everything you mentioned, not just simple analog stuff. From simple to complex to realistic to completely out there. It is VERY diverse. It has THOUSANDS more sounds than SS1.Scotty wrote:Wrong forum but I see SS2 being mentioned. I purchased SS1 through the group buy and still find it very useful. Once I found that preset, I literally played for hours. It is most definitely all about the Sleestacks. (Although they used to scare the bejeezus out of me on LOTL)Squids wrote:It's all about the Sleestacks.

are these sleestacks?

if so, what a bizarre creature to name a patch after.
