I'm still using 1.99,but I'm having the same problem. The EQ allows,I think,20db cut,but to get to 20db,the curve has to go quite a bit outside the viewable area.
you can also click "range" and change it to 24db to grab the handle in view again. leave it at 24 if it's convenient.

Good point, though if David could find room for the drop downs outside of the actual filter graph area, it might be more user friendly (it might require resizing the GUI, though).

there was an earlier post where he asked if any designers were interested in creating a new gui. i guess no one responded. if i knew how i'd certainly do it.

If that's the case my guess is it may eventually happen, but time is supposedly running out for new users (people who haven't donated) to get ahold of the three band, since David told us it will be openly available only through the end of this year.

Yea, I haven't tried 2.02 but when I get home from work I will (can't you tell I'm at work? :hihi: ).

Those CPU speed-ups sound mighty tasty! 8) 8) 8)

Build 2.02 is now available as a unified build for both AMD and Intel. It auto-senses the SSE capabilities of the computer.
just noticed the gui tells you the capability. now i know i have sse2. i was curious about that. 8)

I just noticed that PLParEQ always defaults to stereo monitoring. If you use it on a mono track as a channel eq (which I try), in the main window you can set "Mon" to "Left" with a significant performance gain. Closing and re-opening the window sets it back to stereo...

Wouldn't it be nice to have an all mono version with near double performance, or the plug-In detecting whether it should operate in mono or stereo, or am I missing something?

Post

If so, that would be sweet for vocals.

good point about mono, esp for vox. i'll bet david can implement that w/o too much trouble. did you email him about this?

Post

Done that!

response from david about mono monitoring mode:
Yes, we're working on that one right now... along with some
modifications to allow a text configuration file in addition to the
environment var. Some people don't care much for environment variables.

Should be out soon...

This is an excellent price for such a gem :D. I'm gonna put it on my list now... This EQ is more than worth it.
