I´ve begun using the Waves L Limiter and teh Waves C1 Compressor for the mastering, i put the compressor in the masterfx that all FX´s go through it and it happens that noone of my tracks sound really like homemade, they don´t sound extrem like comerzial stuff but i´am able to do music now that not everybody can recognice that i have done the music.
I´m on f**king fire!

It's not the only way, but it is a very easy way to get professional sounding results. Not to mention that it's cheaper than buying a suite of other plugs.ew wrote:Bullshit. PERIOD.daExpert wrote:Yes, as others have already stated, Ozone is the ONLY way to go. PERIOD.

That's assuming your mix is already spectrally perfect and matches the rest of your songs? If only it were that simple!rpc9943 wrote:yuck why is everyone so keen on this spectralive program i think it just makes everything sound hissier ... pop a limiter on man, drag that baby up youll be fine

FWIW, I like Spectralive when I need that "excitery" sound, it kicks ass on Voice Overs, for instance. I'm too chicken to put it on a mix bus, but it can do wonders on individual instruments. Probably best to decide for oneself, I would think.

I've tried all sorts of things with varying success. My latest is to get my mixdown, straight to HarBal, then either Ozone multiband or Marquis compressor followed Elephant. It's getting better but I still have no idea what I'm doing technically. I find this gives me a better result than when I was going through Ozone only.

Ozone is awesome! but not the only way to go. I would say that but someone would call bullshit on me and I don't want that.deaneager wrote:It's not the only way, but it is a very easy way to get professional sounding results. Voxengo Soniformer, CurveEQ and Elephant is an excellent chain.
Soniformer and Elephant are particularly powerful tools.
