Very nice!! I hear the Ozricky lead there :-)

BUT1..you need to pitch bend now and then to give it expression..maybe a pitch up to a note goes a long way.

I have found that if your going to be playing a guitar patch..you have to put yourself in the thinking mode of a guitarist. What would he do?

BUT2..really like the tune and the feel as well.

Right :) I'm still getting the hang of that patch and bending with it. You do certainly have to get in a particular mind sent for it, though.

Here's a quick experiment where I tried to translate my guitar playing style to keyboard......

MG1

The two semitone bend is ideal from a guitarist point of view, and works really well with mod wheel vibrato, as long as you don't over do it. :)

Nice piece Alan. More than a little Jeff Beck in there - brings to mind some of those atmospheric pieces on his Guitar Shop album.

Alan,

Really great playing. Reminds me of a movie I saw about K2 - a mountain in the Himalayas - throughtout the movie the soundtrack was a similar bluesy guitar playing (without the organ) - but it was really appropriate. Likewise, your instrumental was great - I truly enjoyed it. More importantly, if I was not on this Forum and knew about manyguitar, I would swear it WAS a guitarist playing that.

So, Paul, really fantastic product - that is obviously clear to me now. I just did not get why manyguitar would have been that different until I heard this instrumental. I guess it's because I am not a guitarist and so know very little about amps and distortion and such. However, this piece SOUNDED like it was played out of a particular amp with a particular distortion - A HA - I get it now.

So, I count the days till I purchase this - as I want it more than ever.

very nice pieces by theshaggyfreak and AlanB

although I was eligible for a crossgrade, this would be a bargain even at full price

Telecasting From Cloud 9

I know developers like to hear feedback, but I've been kind of busy.

Just wanted to say the Telecaster KICKS ASS.

Long have I dreamed of having its silky tones in my hot little hooks, and now she is MINE, baby!

Thanks for making it real -- I'm using it to give me clear arpeggios over powerchords in a classic garage-band-style rocker, and it's simply orgasmic when I run it almost completely dry. Effects only obscure its pristine beauty.

How sweet it is!

I'm a guitarist first and a computer musician second, so I'm particular about the way MG plays/sounds. Pitch bend/trills/vibrato can all be done, and I find MG very satisfying from a guitarist's point of view.

WOW! Must put that on my CV! Seriously, Beck is a favorite, but I'm more familiar with his early stuff. Check out "I Ain't Superstitious" from Truth - amazing!

Karmacomposer/havran - Thanks for your kind words.

I could hear some Jeff Beck in the way you bent the notes, he's really got a feel for making note bends emotional and musical..and you captured it.

Great work Alan. Great VSTi Paul.

Paul,

Hopefully the $49.95 sale is still valid because I should be getting funds this week to buy manyguitar. Will it be possible to purchase it, say, latest Monday at that rate?

Hi Mike

That 49.99 crossgrade price special is available untill January 31st!

So you have Time .... But the sooner you get it ....the more enjoyment you will receive!

The $89.99 full price will also stay the same untill at least January 31st too. (But a heads up.... This may or may not increase a bit in the future as it is a heck of a Deal as it is .... We announced the initial price and then kept adding to the Sample Content to the point we Gave Toooooooooo Much with it for $89.99! But we are holding to that price for some time.)

We will still have a crossgrade from ManyStation to ManyGuitar after Jan 31st but it will be "at least" $20.00 more than it is now. We will announce this closer to the end of the special.

Thanks
Paul
