Met up with an old mate last night. He's been away working in Asia for a few years now. He's a producer. Started off doing the sound for new bands around Manchester, and hawked his desk all around the North West in the late 70s/early 80s. He's got quite a few bootlegs taken direct from his desk, and is slowly loading them onto his pc. This one is particularly ace. Raw as hell, but quite decent quality, it's a full set from the mighty Joy Division at the seminal Factory club in 1979. Thought I'd share it with ya .. It's a 60meg download from the link below. Hope to get some other stuff soon!

Hey, thanks a hell of a lot.

I remember sending off for live tapes of JD ad NO way back, some were very dodgy sounding, but great anyway. You can get a load now from Soulseek (if you are so inclined)

edit:
For some reason I thought this was a video. I have the Heart and Soul box, with the exact same tracks. Still, thanks for making them available.

I have a perfect vinyl bootleg of the Warsaw album which predates JD. Awesome record.
Coffee please, black, no sugar.

Excellent stuff, Chris. Thanks for thinking of us.

I HAD that at one point too - great quality for a bootleg

sadly it was stupidly parted with in the big vinyl departure of '89

i miss it so much

Thanks! It's going on my mp3 player as we speak!

Heard a tape of this show years ago - not my fave JD boot but quite good, apart from Bernard forgetting what key 'Disorder' is in - the panicky series of transpositions until he hits the right notes are classic.

Thanks for posting!

I'm in the obvious minority here, but Warsaw>Joy Division.

*ducks*
