I started my own label, but strangely enough i still couldn't get signed. There's a message in there somewhere.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. I have a crack habit to feed, and doing that would allow me access to more peoples houses i could steal from.

Heh, without sounding TOO bitter; every single experience with a label (big label, small label, created-for-the-occation-of-releasing-this-album label) has ended in bitter tears and the grinding of teeth for me - it's really kind of comical in retrospect. 
- We were approached by a big label many years ago when we did tarnce-stuff, had a good tune with a talented singer and the first thing they say is "We need a better-looking singer". We politely declined.
- Remixed a tune for a small label (where a friend was signed), they managed to "forget" to credit us on the release. Oy vey. No more business with them (they only release crap stuff anyway).
- Worked with an independent artist a couple of years back, "signed" on to the label that was created for this project. The CDs (a couple of thousand, self financed) are still gathering dust at some warehouse.
So to summarize; we're just doing this for the love of it these days. Not quite cynical yet, but definately a litte more wise (and sceptical) than when we started out.
