Y'know, I always pull this phaser out, but I then I always end up using something else. For some reason, I'm just not a fan of itbduffy wrote:Smartelectronix Supaphaser. Works every time.

Nope, for me it's my favourite phaser, and the first preset just sounds cool on vocals, kinda takes it to Techno-land a little bit while keeping the words audible. So if you don't like it now, I don't think I have any secret weapon-advice, sorry.jackson wrote:Y'know, I always pull this phaser out, but I then I always end up using something else. Bugger, cos I love the GUI's on this and Ambience (which, by the way, I love the sound of).bduffy wrote:Nope, for me it's my favourite phaser, and the first preset just sounds cool on vocals, kinda takes it to Techno-land a little bit while keeping the words audible. I'm doing some vocal work tonight, maybe I'll give the phaser yet another run for it's money. Oh right, it was free
Anyway, my favourite effects to mangle vox?
Bitcrushers
Granulizers
Dub-style delays
Phasers
And MetalMickey. I wish the dev would do further work on this unit, it's one of my all time favourites.

Oh - try Devine Machine's Minion and Obertone Audio's Filterbank. You can get some interesting and unpredictable sounds with those.

Try SpaceEffect by MHC, I used it on a remix for guitar computer...it worked out well!

honestly i think reaktor is the most flexible tool for any audio job, but if you don't have the time and want quick results I think the antares avox bundle is pretty cool.
