hi
i've been facing some phase problems lately with using some effects (chorus etc.. )
is there any phase corection plug in which 'd help me do that (preferably free or not too expensive please)

do i only have to spend more time eq'ing and compressing (as i was advised from a friend? )

thanks for the help :)

use the chorus or phaser, set mod depth to zero, set stereo to zero, adjust offset.

compression can help, but only in minor situations. generally phase adjustment will cause more problems than it solves. you probably do not actually have phase problems. try pre/post eq and compression on the effects like your friend suggested. you can also consider mixing -24db and taking advantage of the extra dynamic range systems have these days anyway.

My guess is you've set the chorus to all wet and then mix it yourself. Try the dry/wet control on your chorus plugin, so use it as an insert effect instead of a send.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

thanks for the bundle and for the reply :)
what do you mean by "you probably do not actually have phase problems."
:? that i shouldn't only try to get as low antiphase as i can, or i just shouldn't bother with it as it's not that important issue :dog:
i thought it had to see with the stereo/mono more than dynamic ...

sorry but my english is not so good

i always use chorus as a insert :P
but actually chorus was just an example for plugs changing phase
i had this problem as well with vanguard when the osc fat button is all the way right

the ultrafunk sonitus plugs distributed by cakewalk have a phase correction plug in included, bought seperately I believe it's extremely cheap.

in a similar thread i already posted this: you could "abuse" a phaser-plugIn with a 100% wet setting and no LFO-modulation of the allpass frequencies. this results in a static allpass-filter which introduces a frequency dependent phase shift. for example my Psycho-Phaser freebie allows for such a setting.
