Hi everybody,

Nowadays I'm looking for web hosting companies for my musical project. If it's true, I heard that it's better to chose hosting company from my country of residence. Anybody has any advice for affordable hosting companies in Europe?

I have 2 sites on http://www.1-eurohost.com/index-3.html. Fast servers, ok pricing.

B-one are cheap for the basic stuff (~$1.5/month for 500Mb + imap email), but they do have a lot of hidden costs (startup fee, moving domains etc).

Yep go for Spe3d, both my sites are down right now on bllooooooddy 1eurohost.

What kind of disadvantages I will have if the hosting server is outside Netherlands for example?

audioshots servers are in the us yes,but audioshots is a hosting site designed to help artists,im in the uk and i use audishots,i also know a few other guys from europe here who use the service and i can honestly say ive never had any trouble with the service.and he does offer great prices on all his deals. seriously worth checking out.

Audioshots is de beste oplossing. Ik ben Belg en woon in Canarias. No problem ! Ik wist niets eens dat de servers zich in de US bevinden !
Gewoon je songs daar uploaden is gratis !!!
Ik heb m´n spullen daar ook, onder de naam Max el Belga... .. .

Yes I believe Audioshot is in the US... Im in Ireland and Im delighted with the service.

If your looking for somerhing in Europe there are MANY in the UK and I could recommend some Irish hosting if you like.
