I heard Bernard Fanning perform some atonal piece of crap recently. My friend goes "this is awesome!" Okay!

Oh, and I'd say about 80% of all video game music is about as listenable as the trance a lot of kids make in FLStudio.

Well, I'm a big fan of atonal composition. But I always try to specify that my appreciation for it is mainly "on paper", because it's a theoretical beauty that I appreciate most in Berg or Webern, for instance. As *Listening* goes, I'd way rather listen to music with conventional melodic, harmonic, timbral, and metric qualities.
