What a stupid poll.

I can't choose JUST bland, I have to choose BLAND AND COMMERCIAL... what if the commerciality doesn't bother me? What if it's soley down to whether I like it?

I'd rather rip on the social environment that fosters crappy music.

The good thing about a forum poll such as this, is that one can suggest alternatives to the pollster.

I must say, though, that the crying part doesn't really strengthen your case.

I don't rip on other people's music unless it's making lots of money... and then, only if the music is bland and uninteresting. Commercial doesn't bother me. I mean, the Beatles were commercial. And I like them.

Sorry.

To 'rip on' something is Middle American slang for saying negative things about something just for the sheer fun of it.

If someone asks for an opinion, the response is called 'constructive criticism'. Even if someone is gratuitously nasty in their response, it is still called 'constructive criticism'.

Was it Shaw who said America and Britain were two countries separated by a common language ?
