I'm surprised Pendulum was mentioned. They're quite good but did anyone notice on about 50% of their tracks they use the EXACT SAME main drumloop? With the same samples, at the same tempo? It's a bit ridiculous, and very boring after the 5th time you heard it.

That said, Slam was fantastic.

Album: Idunno, most bands are suited to the majority of the population downloading singles, so albums arent compiled like they used to be.

Single: Noisia - Believe

No choice for single i don't by them .
Album - Nine Horses "Snow Borne Sorrow" and by a long shot too I might add.

Album: Kanye West - Late Registration
Single: Gorillaz - Dare

Album: Mindless Self-Indulgence "You'll Rebel to Anything" (I don't know why but this CD is growing on me like a bad yeast infection! :-o  :help:  )

Single: Polysics "Coelacanth is Android" (They would have been my favorite album of the year but MSI knock them out of position about a week ago... but this most-recent Polysics single has two kick-ass originals and an unintentionally hilarious cover of "Psycho Therapy" by the Ramones... mainly because of Kayo's accent; sounds like she's saying "Psycho Syrupy"!)

Erm, if it aint broke...

You're right though, they were a bit more of a singles band. I think it's just that theirs was about the most consistent big drum and bass album this year, so alla the junglists are liable to pick it as AOTY...

And to be fair, I get a lot more annoyed by dnb acts whose albums consist of about three killer singles and a lot of misjudged efforts to show that they're musical polymaths who can also write downtempo, hip hop, funk, garage, soul, irish traditional and so on even though they aren't and they can't than by ones that just stick to what they're actually good at and stick a series of killer dnb tunes one after another.
