Digital noise in stereos/car stereos?

My mom has been having a problem with her car stereo. It is the stock Bose system that came with the car(a mazda). The stereo will be playing normally and then all this clicky digital sounding noise starts to occur. She says the same thing happens with the CD player and the radio. I have heard this kind of noise from other stereos too. Does anyone know what it is or how to fix it?

Is the noise like "Tideli Dali Tideli Dali Tideli Dali" etc?? Cell phone interference indeed...
(nb: pattern may be different in USA than here in Europe)

Is the noise like "Tideli Dali Tideli Dali Tideli Dali" etc?? Cell phone interference indeed... First you hear it on the stereo, then your phone rings. It also happens when switching the phone on. Get a better shielded radio, or switch off the phone.

I was going to suggest cellphone interference too. I hear it all the time on my wife's computer speakers, her car stereo, my cheap stereo, some of the computers at work...
