I was approached by Behringer last week. They had schematics for reasonably priced havran emulations, but I convinced them that there really wasn't a market for that kind of thing.

Hey Bones,
I got contacted last week, they wanted all the free stuff. I would already be happy to get the CD they are shipping with their new line of "Computer Based Recording
products" but who knows what's for Christmas this year...heheh..
Greets, Thomas.

I've read the agreements and I think they are perfectly fine. I'm going to sign.

I've heard rumours that even the "free" stuff that Mackie bundles with Tracktion, authors were given compensation (gear, money, etc.).

They just emailed me back and said they can't tell me anything about the product and they won't give me one.
I don't know if this is such a good deal for me, because "o'malley sound" really isn't anything anymore. So there really isn't any reason to promote it anymore. I'm not developing my plugins or making new ones. I don't even make computer music anymore either. I wanted omalleysound to be a publishing company or a record label, but I never really went anywhere with it.
So unless I can get some free swag or something in return I don't see any reason for Behringer to make money off of my failed project.

I told them that I wasn't interested, nothing personel, I said the same to muse and openlabo'malley wrote:They just sent me another email asking me to make a decision soon. What has everyone else done?
