Hi!

I've recorded several short clips using an electric guitar and my ShapeShifter multi-effect plug.

Image

Its by no means limited to guitar and also works great on drums, synths etc. But interesting to hear the range of effects you can get from one sound source.

Sample 1
Sample 2
Sample 3
Sample 4
Sample 5
Sample 6
Sample 7
Sample 8
Sample 9
Sample 10
Sample 11
Sample 12
Sample 13

Those samples are nice. Wish I had a guitar setup.

Yeah sure did, about 4 or 5 samples where with your specific guitar presets, though I don't remember what I used on each sample if I'm honest!

The rest use other presets that happened to sound good, and sometimes gave interesting and offbeat results

Nice demos :).

Just wondering: I already have Ronin (Audio Damage), E-Fex Modulator, SFX Machine and Metallurgy... Somehow ShapeShifter seems a duplication for me, or are there features that I've missed so far? And how does it compare to CamelSpace?

I haven't checked out camelspace yet...but i'm familiar with the others.....the main feature that you don't get with any of the other's mentioned, is the ability to sequence the wavesequencer and the delay time independantly. The delay time sequencing makes all kinds of trippy effects. :)

..yeah I was pretty much going to say exactly what Frank talks about there. The sequenced waveshaper gives very interesting sounds because you can create distortion that is changing over time, rather then the fixed tone you get with other plugs. Its well worth trying out.

Of course as always there's no substitute for trying out the demo in the context of your own music. You'll also find that ShapeShifter is easy to use and lets you get results very quick.
