Hey
been using fl and audiomulch with some vstfx and vsti's for a couple of years now.
But i did lately change to tracker software
my last purchase was renoise.Are there people inhere who are using renoise?And are there any interesting sites on the net except the official ones to talk about renoise or where i can find answers to some questions and maybe some tutorials?

I've been using trackers exclusively since the first day I got into making music (back in around 1987, using SoundTracker on the Amiga / NoiseTracker on Atari STe, Protracker, Octalyser, etc, etc, etc).

I don't personally know about many tracking sites, it seems like the few that were around have died off, though I'm certain there are still some out there. United Trackers used to be a pretty good resource but it looks like things are totally different there now. Maybe you can still find some links to nice resources if you dig around in the forums and "old site/content" area.

As far as Renoise-specific questions go you can really get a lot of useful information from the Renoise forum. There's also the Renoise Wiki which you may or may not know about.

i tried renoise and i really liked it, yet i had some problems with the gui: it really looks nice, but the numbers make my eyes hurt after a wile. thats very sad, as trackers and especially renoise would be great for my d&b and jungle attemps (ever tried to mash up the amen-break in a tracker?

no other host would allow you to do it as quick!)

if you are interested in trackers try www.united-trackers.org . lots of useful information!

http://tutorials.renoise.com is good aswell, but i guess you know it allready

yeah thx for the reply.i know except the official sites there is not much left.But the only thing i could was ask.
Been talking a lot on widerstand.org with artists that are into the same music as i am.They advised me buzztracker instead of renoise.But can't get it working properly?A lot of crashes that's why i bought renoise now.But will keep experimenting

yeah, buzz is quite buggy. do you know buzzle? ( www.buzzle.de ) it's an imprved version of buzz. specs sound promising, but unfortunately it's still in in an early devellopment stage. a first beta is said to be released at christmass

the only trackers i spent many hours with:

hydrogen drum machine

ORdrumbox

and Syntrax (my favorite)
win+symbian os version.

If you're at all interested in trackers, you might want to look into Aodix. Arguru, the developer, has been active in tracker development for a long time and he has made Aodix 4 into something very innovative. Renoise is great, but make sure you check out the modular routing, piano roll sequencing, etc., in Aodix, too.

i say use revisit and host of choice. its how ive been working with songs now, coming from It2.14 it's one of the best things that have come around in a long long time. I donate and am an alpha/beta tester for chris nash. (and i use tracktion2 for my host)
