Wow... this is the best argument for software piracy i have ever heard.

Once again, the legitimate user is f ucked over. I would say "for the sake of a few dollars" but seeing as Steinberg's protection has been cracked (again)...

Another vote for Audition. I'm always using it to edit files created in FL5.

That's exactly how I got it, but the funny thing is, I still use CEpro way more than I do AA. Also, I forgot about the instability of ACID when Rewired, though maybe that's been fixed with the new versions.

Another AA+FLS combo user here, although I've recently added Console to the arsenal.... (yeah Console not eXT, I wanted DX support dammit :hihi:)
my sig will go here

can Audition be used not to edit but to record audio into FL? I mean not rewired, but when you select Audition (well, Cool Edit in my case) as the default editor, can you use it then to record voice into FL? how?

:P nah, just want people to benefit. a lot of spelling mistakes, such as this one, reflect a limited understanding of phrases and they seem to acquire a whole new meaning when you learn about the 'traditional' word in question.

i'm not running around screaming at people, pointing guns and handcuffing them, quite yet. ;)

not plain 'wrong'

wanting

wanting better handling of vst's
wanting a better workflow
wanting the ability to drag audio from several takes into one track to glue
wanting no instability issues with rewire

etc etc etc

It doesnt rewire, but I'd say Adobe Audition is always worth investing in. I would be lost without it.

without rewire, no (at least not that I know of).
often I will record guitar/vocals in AA with FLS playing at the same time (for vocal cues). Then cut my file up in AA and bring it into FLS (have to line it up in time).

my work flow with AA/Fl

1. Compose drum, synth and sample parts in FL...

2. Instead of splitting mixer tracks at render I render through the mixer choosing the tracks I want.

3. Import tracks to AA.

4. Batch normalize the the tracks

5. Record guitars, vocals and any other live instruments in AA.

Of course now I have been doing the same but using Sonar first for recording live instruments and then I edit the waves and master with AA. I realy don't use rewire, but I have no reason for that other then I am comfortable with the way I work now..:)
