Apparently, the CM version has no Directwave presets. In Looptalk, JMC writes that the presets are "exactly what we're working on & what's delaying the finale online release."Seus Hawkins wrote:I think it is exactly the version they are releasing....they're just waiting for tucows...it's been ready for a while...

Welp....tried the demo, looks very nice and those about to get it will enjoy it, but sadly i had to put up my latency from 5.xxms to 10.xxms to stop it crackling.......i need a new comp (i have a 1.7ghz processor) before i get FLStudio
A necessary evil anyway. Those with more up to date comps will have no issues like that i assume (lucky buggers
)

My work machine couldn't play the demo song. That's as far as I got till I get home. Not sure I'll actually update my DAW with the beta, if the release is tomorrow anyway. Still looks nice. Still wish for a fullscreen mixer.Reverse Engineer wrote:Welp....tried the demo, looks very nice and those about to get it will enjoy it, but sadly i had to put up my latency from 5.xxms to 10.xxms to stop it crackling.......i need a new comp (i have a 1.7ghz processor) before i get FLStudioA necessary evil anyway. I am using ASIO4ALL v2.6 (11ms, High priority), and the sample previews crackle horrendously. I also had to move my latency up a bit (on a 3.2Ghz PC). The sample previews don't crackle when I'm playing a song though.
On the demo song (excellent, btw), I get crackles on pattern 23 (drop it like it's hot), which is a simple one-note bass slide.
These crackles go away when I use primary sound driver. Also, increasing latency to max (2048 samples) does not eliminiate the crackles.

latency has no effect on me, in fact I keep my buffer wide open (19ms latency)...I have the direct monitor for my card anyhow, but I dont have midi latency issues in FL. In the past when I have had midi latency (home studio
) I just found a tone similar in my qsr or xp10 and monitored that while recording the midi...

Actually the pre-sets are done (and there are thousands of them). What's being tweaked is the built in downloader in DirectWave and the streaming of the downloads themselves.ccollinsmith wrote:Apparently, the CM version has no Directwave presets. im a bit disappointed. imo minor things were forgotten.
improved vst management, more scroll possibilities
(e.g. vertical in the playlisteditor) and even an improved automation editor/management (c'mon its the release # 6)
but thats all. good software

Ah, got it. That streaming download stuff sounds wild.Buckskin wrote:Actually the pre-sets are done (and there are thousands of them). Well, I'm gonna install the CM version after I finish writing up GHIDRAH THE THREE-HEADED MONSTER for a movie book.
Then I'm gonna PLAY!

Hmm. Im running a 2ms latency on my onboard Nvidia soundcard. The demo song ran fine without and crackles. My specs:
Athlon Xp 3000, 512mb DDR 3200, 200gb SATA....
