I rip on bland music made with the intention of following a formula because it worked before to make profit. These formulas are usually 'image','attitude'and 'personality' etc.. I dont wanna be reminded of someones crappy values (unless they are intelligent) when listening to music, or be reminded of some dickheads rude head when listening to a tune. Problem is most of society aspires to be my version of what is defined as a 'dickhead'.. Hope Im not coming across too negative because Im quite happy today

eh.. best not to worry about it.. just make music you like and there is bound to be a crew of people that appreciate it. Problem is, its quite a hard game to make much money from, no matter how good you think you are. Ah well. Keep bangin on I suppose

Man, I just like the music I like. Commerciality doesn't come into it. I wont NOT like something just because it made/makes money. That's a really stupid thing. Likewise I wont like something just because no one ever heard of it. That's a stupid reason to like music too.
I'm equally at home listening to Papa Roach as I am listening to Autechre as I am listening to Frank Zappa as I am listening to Tool as I am listening to the Conan The Barbarian soundtrack.
Why limit yourself in bigotted ways like the ones I mentioned? The only limit on music should be if it moves you or not. If it doesn't move you... then don't listen to it.

if i go on a song dl spree, i'm gonna get 99%-100% stuff i don't like. i just don't say anything (anymore

once in a while i'll hear a punk tune that brings tears to my eyes. i haven't heard any new electronica i like. i just don't like much. i don't like some of my own music. i write tons so i can afford to throw out the bad stuff. i'm left with something i can tolerate. i know i sound egotistical, but i feel removed from the processes. i'm more of an observer

I have an extremely narrow taste in music as well. I dont have anyhting against music outside this narrow band, but I can only listen to about .03% of all given music in the world (not including live performances).
