Yes, I completely agree with this. This is the main reason I prefere BuzzRoom's Multiband as I find the waves one to be much too "polite" but still not transparent enough to compete with Soniformer 2 which makes the waves one completely a lost cause for me. BuzzRoom's multiband and Soniformer 2 compliment each other very well as Soniformer can't really be 'brutal' in a way that the CL5 can.

No problem mate! No offence taken what so ever. :)

Thanks, bManic.

Soniformer...I'll have to try that one again. Doesn't that kind of give you the "correct" EQ curve which you apply to your mix? I remember being a little confused with it, not the most straight-forward compressor/EQ/thingy. I'll download it and give it a go.

I think the GUI is way less friendly, all controls in one window kinda make it easier to see whats going on and take control in a better way.
i agree.
i prefered the previous one, with everything readable in one sight, or the nice black skin of the free bundle...
the round kbnobs are a little too "funny" to my taste, and in my opinion a bit less usable...

but the sound... wow
I like the new interface much more than the old but I do wish at least one of the sub-pages contained ALL information. For instance, sub-page 'D' could easily show the attack and release settings and the attack/release shape too. GUI wise there is still lots to improve but I really like the approach that forces you to work with one band at a time. This makes you really think "what am I doing? Why do I want to do this? What is my goal?" instead of just blindly tweaking and hoping for the best.

No, it's a 32 band multiband compressor. Simple as that. It's metering helps you give an idea of the 'balance' of the mix but it doesn't force you to any particular solutions. Soniformer 2 is extremely usefull and can be a true lifesaver on mixes that can't be salvaged by EQ changes alone.

I'm not sure RADICAL gui changes are good idea, after you get used to one gui then have to learn a totally diferent one.

The new one seems five individual comps to me instead one multiband

i really like that gui, better than the old one, but hey, i just started checking the bundle when i read about this new beta, and today i bought it :D

great stuff, the cl-bundle next month? maybe :)

dumb question : i am running a pentium 4 laptop, and can't remember if I need the SSE or Non-SSE version... ?

Would everyone had presets to share for the CP-1 > CP-5 bundle ?

when i get some extra money, i am going to get his commercial buzzcomp package for sure.
for the time being, freecomp pack is always in my tracks. I don't have a singe song or song sketch that doesn't use one or more of them :D

This new beta though.... holy crap! I honestly need some lessons on how to do indepth multiband compression, because i am pretty much baffled by it.
anyone have any time to make a CP5 tutorial?
resistors are futile you will be simulated

I haven't had time to sit with it, but I think I understand it basically, as his stuff is kind of similar in practice to the Waves stuff, which I use extensively.

Z3R0T0N1N, your sig scares the hell out of me. Even more than I already am. :scared:
