i had some problems first with this as it's unusual when you come from other hosts, but it's quite cool now as i'm more used to it.

I agree on both points, and I'm pretty sure they both been brought up in the Preferences thread sticky (I know I mentioned the ghost part behaviour).
In addition, I'd love to see support for horizontal scroll wheels (the mice where you can push the middle button side to side, and many laptop touchpads) for moving around in the sequencer/editors

I also think there should be an option to do mouse-wheel-zooming without the need to hold down the ctrl-key.
Usually I use EnergyXT's cool right-draging to navigate, so I wouldn't mind holding down ctrl those few times
I scroll with the mouse-wheel.

Yes, and it is excellent, but it remains in the opposite direction of what is intuitive for me (and of what is done in all other softwares too)...you can mouse wheel in the meter to zoom
