i got renoise working in linux and it works fine
the CPU is even less than windows

vst plugins work not all but a lot
only when you run renoise and use a browser or other programs the sound gets distorted

but hee when i make music i make music

Excellent! Those VST wrappers seem to work pretty good...might give Renoise a try on VMware!

i tried VMWare and it`s very slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

also tried win4lin and some programs work only no directx

I've often wondered how, exactly, you use WINE. Is it something that just runs when you need it, like Python? BTW, is that what KDE looks like these days? GNOME looks more like KDE used to, and now it seems KDE looks like GNOME used to. Weird.

Both Gnomeand KDEcan look any way you want it to (but KDE more so).
