did AA pickup the FL pluggins for you?

Well, I still have FLS5.0 on there, so it hasn't effected AA yet, but when I remove it, I'll need to 'refresh' AA and yeah, that's a worry.

You know,I can't remember the thread, but someone was saying they loaded all the .dll files for the plugs they wanted to use in AA in the AA/Plugins folder and haven't had a problem since. Like maybe the VSTi refresh bug in AA is just it's directory search function or something. Dunno, haven't tried it.

;)

Cheers,
Alex

I got the old ones still, but I guess the new ones aren't vst...flangus and a few others are that way too...:?

there's a lot in this update that is awesome, if the different color/different midi channel thing in the piano roll works like I think I'm gonna love that for my bass samples...:)

Oh yeah mate -- me be trippin on it all. :D

But, let me get this straight -- You got Flangus to work in AA????

One of the best FL plugs there is (along with the amazing FLS Parametric EQ), but I've never been able to use those in AA cuz it never shows up there.

I've always felt thought that if FLS and AA were married into a single product it would make undoubtedy the best host on the planet... ;)

Yes, Flangus an incredible little flanger. I wish someone would make one like it in pure VSTi form. Haven't found one yet that matches it for simplicity and quality... ;)

the new design is pretty cool. i'm not sure about Reverb2. i haven't tried it long enough to form an opinion, but i was a bit disappointed by the sound. and, not enough presets if you ask me.

i take the opportunity to remove a lot of plugins while transfering them from the previous to the new VST directory. yet i'd like to ask (for the next time): is there a way to assign another directory than the default one for the Vst directory? i don't think so, but it's a bit tiresom to have to move everything again and again. And the new version of FLS doesn't remember the previous short list when adding a channel or an effect.

Yes, it is exactly my problem and wish also. I am not quite sure since I am no programming ghuru, but isn't this type of 'setup' parameter easy to do in the installer? I don't have that many plugins, but it's a real pain to re-install everything, especially since I am always working on music...

Not a biggie (unless I'm missing something) but I'd like to be able to specify which folder/hard drive I can download the DW presets to, using the download manager. It's easy enough to move them to my D: drive manually, but it'd be easier still to download them directly to a folder there.

While I'm here, anyone else noticed a fault with the DW Strings/Melotron sample set? G# and A both play the same note (all octaves)
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Yes, it's possible to set the location of your vst folder. I don't have FL in front of me, but it's on the same window where you define custom folders

Did those folders work for you? When I installed FLS6, I looked at the 'Files" page setup and all my directories were listed just as they are in FLS5, which means the installer picked up the old config file (I'm guessing?), but when I tried to load a project in FL6, it couldn't find ANY of my plugs. So, I ended up copying my VST folder in FLS5 to the VST folder in FLS6 and now everything works fine.

I won't uninstall FLS5 until I am 100% sure of FLS6 -- I've got way too much composition and collab work going on to risk it.
