What's with VST in FL6???
List of my VSTs is in FL6 completely unrecognizable.
When I opened "Channels/Add one" menu here is what I found ...Just look at this names (just few examples):
VST
VST
VST
VST
VST s
VST S
VST vir
VST Wusi
VST bass
VST b
VST B
VST Ko
VST Konta
VST Konta
VST At
VST ba
VST Ba
VST Turnt
So now I must guess what is what?

I don't have it in front of me, but mine were fine last night. Maybe that window scales now and you have it too narrow?cornix wrote:What's with VST in FL6???

It might have something to do with Sonar, because its listed as "VST Va" etc. under the DX plugins, while they're also there under the VST plugins. Do you have Sonar installed (or a demo thereof)?

It works fine for me. I don't have any Sonar stuff installed.

Are you sure that's the list for your VSTis? It looks like the list you get for DXis in FL if you also have Sonar installed.
Sonar converts the VSTis to DXis that have weird names like that, and in FL, the DXis appear at the top of the plugins list. Then come the Fruity plugins. And then at the bottom of the list are the VSTis.
I hope that's your problem, because if it is, then you don't have a problem. You would just need to scroll further down the page to get to the actual VSTis, rather than the DXis that Sonar has converted from VSTis.

or when you run the sonar vst wrapper uncheck the option to prefix VST with the plugins. at least that will remove the vst part from the beginning and you would see rest of the vst name...

If VST wusi is Wusikstation, then that must mean that VST Vir is...

The thing to remember, though, is that the stuff that's run through the VST wrapper is a DXi, not a VSTi. Sonar assigns it the prefix VST to let you know it's not a native DXi.antardhyan wrote:or when you run the sonar vst wrapper uncheck the option to prefix VST with the plugins. at least that will remove the vst part from the beginning and you would see rest of the vst name...
If you want to run the actual VSTi in FL, you should pass by the whole list of Sonar's conversions of the plugin up in the DXi section of your list, and go down further towards the bottom of list where your actual VSTi plugins are.
