I'd get it if I didn't have it already. Having just had a play with Octopus demo and a while back the Blue demo I still think Rhino sounds nicest (and it has a great companion animal coming soon in Zebra 2).

Yes I just messed about with Octopus and I'm unconvinced it offers anything useful, more than Rhino besides 2 extra oscs.
Rhino's effects, in particular, are much more varied and far better. And Octopus only has 3 basic filter modes - thats disappointing.

It's funny but even with those 2 extra oscs Octopus sounds thinner and not as lush as Rhino. I liked some of Blue's sounds though but not enough to buy it at the current price.

Rhino was my second "big" synth (after z3ta+ - which I later sold, and before Albino). I have enough other COFX synths that Blue just doesn't hold much attraction, Rob Papen's presets notwithstanding. I also have Sytrus as I'm an FLS user, so Octopus didn't appeal to me either.
I'd buy Rhino today if I didn't already have it.

Thanx for the offer, Rhino's a great synth, I bought it because the demo inspired me almost instantly, it hasn't stopped doing so either.
