And the Pixies at the Pukkel Pop festival (what can I say, I'm a huge fan...)

Underworld, perhaps.
I had a blast at Paul DiAnno as well, and Destruction was great although they played after three crap bands and I was near the end of my heavy metal patience...

Blackmore's Night in Herculessaal (Munich, Germany).
If you like mediaeval music, this is THE gig.
Perfect acoustic, Ritchie Blackmore (from Deep Purple) on guitars and the voice of Candice Night have made an unforgettable evening.

2005 was the first year since 5th grade (my first show, Queen's Night at the Opera Tour) that i saw no shows at all, besides a cover band at the local bar once....

I caught Squarepusher in Falmouth a few weeks ago, he had a guy called Pierre Bastien supporting. He builds musical machines from meccano and other different motorised objects that end up sequencing some truly amazing sounds! It was the most original thing I've seen in ages and really turned my head around regarding how much "emperor wears no clothes"ness surrounds the music making business at the moment, that was truly thinking outside the box.

I also saw Robert Fripp perform one of his soundscapes in a church in Newlyn (a fishing village in Cornwall) a very enjoyable and thought provoking experience.
Both of these gigs have made me re-evaluate why I make music and how set in my ways I've become.
