I'd like to automate vst parameters via the amplitude of a given audio signal. The priciple is the same of sidechain compressing but wider.
I thought to something like a vst fx that receives audio and converts it to cc controller data, so if a vst parameter responds to that cc, you could control it.
This is just my idea, I don't know if there are other ways.
Does it exist a plugin for this pourpose?
P.s. I know that FL Studio has an internal controller like that, but I don't use FL anymore.
audio amplitude-->vst parameter modulation ??

There's a 'Some midi plugs' thread in the Energy XT support section of this forum that might be your best bet for finding what you are looking for. failing that, I would ask 'soma' if he knows of one that you can use.

Yep! I've found soma's "Enveloper" plugin (is it loadable in Ext only??) and also smartelectronics "env2midi".
Will try to see what suits best!
thanks!
