Don't ask me why, but my girlfriend's friends call her Chibs. Now, I'm so madly in love with her, I like to write poetry, solely about her, in my head.

Chibs' Bath Toy was a line I thought up. It implies her ownership of myself, which indeed love could be said to be a form of ownership.

...Basically I think too much.

Oh and my point in mentioning that was to say, pick a name that means something to you. Not just because it's cool and has dark connotations (Sickle? Please man, could you get anymore 13 year old goth?)

Not meant as an offensive thing. Just as a viewpoint you might like to consider.

I like the fact that your own current alternative to what you describe as '13 year old goth' is on a par with 13 year old slushy gushy 'i wuv my girlie' scribblings on a school jotter.

"Sickle" is as personal as anything else I can think of. I know that doesn't make sense, but you'll understand when the website's ready.

Yeah but if its 'dark' or 'cool' it just cant be personal. Andrew says so.

Which is why Ive decided to take his advice, and intend to use 'Fluffy Penguin Shocktroops of the Rainbow-Coloured Joy Machine' for future work. It really does come from something close to my heart....

It wasnt a cheap shot, Andrew, it was my straightforward opinion. I susoect, though, that your comment was the cheap shot, which is why you're putting it in that context, but there you go.

But for the record, the first time I saw it, I thought that as a name, it sounded shite, scanned badly, looked awkward, and just didnt work.
It was a day or two later that I realised it was actually your. Dont know why, but I assumed straight away it was a reference to your girlie, and it struck me how mawkishly sentimental and twee it was if I was right. Today you confirmed that. However I doubt if I would havementioned that if you werent making your own little judgements.

You don't like that, tough. You brought the subject up, that's what you get. Learn to deal with it.
