alright, does anyone know any decent synths for making liquid dnb like - logistics, high contrast etc, any tips for producing liquid funk much appreciated too

make your drums tight. reduce the decaay on drum sounds to give more space in the mix, avoid reverb on them.
as for the synth, from the novation stuff to arturia, anything classic but heavy can do, the korg legacy collection is an other very good one, the ms20 for bass, the polysix for leads and the wavestation for, well, waves... The production is more important than the source in that case...
oh, and be aware that it's a style where good knowledge of compression and eq is extremely important.
