I personally am using my Asus native one...

it has come to my notice that you can use the equo plgin to send different parts of a sound's spectrum/frequencies to different channels. how would that be done?

I'm using an M-Audio FireWire 1814 with the beta 64 bit drivers. No issues so far. :-)

...this I would like to know...

You route the sound to separate mixer tracks, and in each you use EQUO to filter which part of the spectrum you want to process there, then all of those separate mixer tracks you route back into one.

Or, you could even separate based on velocity with the Waveshaper. That way, you can do Neodynium-style compression.

So it looks like the common denominator is M-Audio USB cards.

how could I not pick this option when I didn't pay 1 cent and got a bunch of new useful improvements :)
It depends on how you regard the upgrade program. I don't think of it as a free gift at all. It's a big part of the reason I bought the product, which I would never have done if the vendor charged for updates. The update is a crucial feature of the product, and not some extra, unexpected thing. It's actually on the bottom line of reasons they got my business in the first place.
Lighten up, man. It IS a gift. FL Studio is already the best value you can get for your money, and well worth it even with no updates.

One thing many companies do (though I doubt IL would) is promise free updates for all the future of the product to lure people in and then discontinue it. Be thankful.

how does one route a sound to different mixer tracks?

:-o

Post

in FL6, you click on that orange arrow thing, and it'll send to that track.

And you're erroneously making the assumption that james0tucson is money, as the basis of your argument.

Name ANY software that can do what FLStudio does for $149 or less.
