Didn't you see the notes that automate with the NewStuff tune?

Carb.
Yeah. Roll your eyes, carb. If people can learn the ins and outs of FL through that, great. I guess I have a harder time getting through everything.

It's a nice feature but not unique - when you launch Live for the first time there is a fairly thorough tutorial.

But don't get me wrong. I have no wish to slam FL. I just struggle with it. It's a marvellous piece of software.

I keep getting v5.02b when I go to tucows?
Any ideas why!
It always takes some time before Tucows updates its listing. Please find in the mean time the download URL on our LoopTalk Forum

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere you have to use/set it manually.....tho' I could be wrong as I've not used it myself.
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

No it's semi-automatic.

Have you looked at the inline manual?

Carb.

Post

I looked at the inline manual but still can't find an answer to my PDC woes. :(

Is it simply not possible to have PDC on Sends?

I have PristineSpaceLight with a sample delay of 4096 on Send 1.
I have a synth on FX1

So far I've tried:
Post-delay of 4096 on FX1 (none on Send)
Pre-delay of 4096 on Send 1 (none on FX)
All combinations of PRE, POST and NONE on both FX and Send.

I either end up with the usual 4096 delay between dry and wet... or 8192 delay between dry and wet.

Scott did a great job on the manual (seriously, that's not sarcasm), but I can't get to grips with the PDC at all. I know it's my understanding of the implementation that is lacking, but could someone tell me how a simple send PDC is implemented?

usually I would pipe in here, but since I got dfh superior I use no fx in FL (though thtat might change some now), I render my tracks dry and treat them when I have a whole mix, which is done either in AA or Sonar...I suggest asking the question at looptalk....;)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Aaaaah, okay... classic case of me not reading the documentation properly.

You use a free mixer strip as a PDC receiver and direct your dry signals to the PDC strip where you apply the delay to compensate for the send.

Works fine. :)
