hi. does anyone know how i can apply 1 single vsi effect on 2 vst instruments on cubase sx2?

right now i only know how to apply a single vsi effect to a single vsti output channel. maybe it is possible to merge vsti audio output channels in cubase?

using mixer busses?

I don't use Cubarse meself, so someone else has to help you out!

That's the difference between Insert effects (one channel) and Send effects (multiple channels). Sends levels are on the right hand side of the effects section. You could also do group channel, and send the output of multiple channels to one, and put an insert there too.

ok i had a play around with "grouping" channels and work out how to route other output channels to it.

it's done by opening up the vsti output and selecting the channel to route to on the far right of the window. and setting the volume.

thanks for the help guys :)

I was going to tell you to read the f**king manual but I bet the Cubase manual is an unappetising 700 page behemoth.

Yeah, but if you're willing to spend as much money for a host as SX costs, you should be willing to read the manual to learn how to use it... :?

That, and the fact that you need to know about what the heck a group channel is.
