Question: the price is the same... so ... why someone would buy a Virus TI (virtual analog) instead of an Alesis A6 Andromeda (real analog) ?

1) This is personal preference
2) This is fact
3) While preference, it does integrate better
4) You will still want a soundcard if you have any other gear...
5) Size seems somewhat negligable for most purchases
Personally I think they both compliment each other well for sounds. As a few other points though...
Analogue does go out of tune, even if just a little, and you will likely need to send it in for tuning every few years if you cannot do this yourself.
I don't believe you can setup multi's in the Andromeda to play different sounds at the same time.
When you change a patch in a virus the previous patch will be allowed to play through so you don't get a pop or click.

BTW #5 is the key. Both the Andromeda and the Virus sound very good, but when right next to eachother, the Andromeda wins by a land slide, imo, but once you get into a certain league of quality that both these synths are in, the differences are nit-picking.The Chase wrote:1) hype
