I'm looking at several sample sets taht come in either GIGA or Kontakt 2 format, but I have HALion 3.
Which tends to be the better either import or translation format? I have both Chicken Systems Translator and Extreme Sample Converter, but have not worked much with either of these conversion programs much...

GS2 format is the most universally 'understood' format. Kontakt v1 is now fairly well supported but I don't know of any software that converts v2 patches. EXSC has preliminary GS3 support but I've never been able to get it to work (tried the PMI Emperor GS3 patches, the Herman Witkam RAW samples and Nhick's GigaAngklung all with no success).

GIGA (at least v2) import in Halion is quite good imo.
And most K2 Libs are encrypted anyway.
