What did I do?

In one of my Cubase SX projects, I seem to have changed a setting that makes recording work different, but I can;t figure out what I did. When I press the * button on the numeric pad, the record button lights up, but recording (and playing) doesn't start until I press the play button as well.

It's not problematic, and it's a setting that is only kept in this project (not in other projects), but I just wonder what I did. I can't find it in the manual, although it's probably mentioned somewhere.

Check the sync button in the transport bar. Sounds like its waiting for a lock from an external source. Maybe you accidentally engaged external sync?
