Well, how could I describe what I'm after? It's that long ringing old phone which is always used in films when a sudden phone call implies danger, suspense etc.
I have had a look on findsounds.com but couldn't find what I'm after, so one of you helpful gentlemen might have an idea where to look for w/o having to buy a soundtrack-library for thousands of $.
Thank you!

Since it's embedded on the page, the direct link to the file:
http://hollywoodlostandfound.net/sounds/uniphone.wav
Sadly that's 8-bit garbage though... I have it stashed somewhere in decent quality, but can't locate it (due to moving twice within the last month, my cd+dvd archives aren't available right now).
Regards,
JMH

There's a great phone ringing scene with no background audio you can snatch of the 'Once upon a time in America' film at the very begining. It rings for well over a minute and is exactly what you're looking for.

Hi all,
thank you very much! Nice links - and, Sickle, good idea to watch that movie again!
Thanks!
Have a nice holiday season, whatever you're doing then!

I was at Virgin Mobile's site, and waded through a bunch of free downloadable ringtones. A couple were of the "classic telephone" sound (wav format).
I'd imagine you would find the same at any similar site that offered ringtones.

That's a good idea, really! My phone hasn't the one I want and ringtonesdon#t do it either, but I will succeed with Sickle's idea, just have to get some time.
Thanks again and have a nice holiday season everyone!
