Why Do "Musicians" Make D+B ???

Well I had a connection with the music while quite young when the genre was more real and in its infancy. Was even more underground then. It was all about the cleverness of speeding up jazz breaks over chilled atmospheres with a deep sub to drive the track. The drum programming was more eratic, varied and slower in the early ninties jungle, wheras now they found a formula djs reckon is the only one that works on the floor and they hammer it to death.
So dnb has lost most of its original soul, and most of its original meaning for its existence in the first place.

I once saw (not too long ago) someone say that they would never take music made with FL Studio seriously. This really pissed me off. I think the reason why people assume it isn't a powerful program is because of what the name implies. "Fruity Loops". People might assume it runs parallel with Acid, which, up until recently, was limited by the pre-made loops you had in your library.

If I remember correctly, Fruity loops started out as a simple midi step sequencer back in the day, and evolved from that. 'Loops' were never really a major function in FL until the slicer came around.

I believe this is the reason that jmc decided to rename his software. I also believe that the price tag plays a major part in it too. Like you had mentioned earlier, if it was twice as expensive, people might take it seriously, and you would have a new crowd whining about its price.

All in all, top to bottom, FL Studio is a solid musical interface that can be used to make just about any style of music. And anybody that can’t acknowledge that, (in the right hands,) it is as good as any other host is just plain ignorant.

Fruityloops was originally made to make drumloops, and a killer tool it was i found. It has progressed a long way since then! I still use SX though

It's a pretty wide genre, ranging from peaceful, euphoric DnB to Heavy, Dark, kill-your-grandmother DnB.

Some light tracks:
