Going a little further on the acoustic kit – I have replaced the toms for Birch ones High Tension – donned the Sabian cymbals, got out the brushes and now got the Spe3d Semi-Brushed kit (also tweaked the envelopes a bit and a few other things.

The Samples are at 24 bit 48 K for the Toms n Sabians and the Birch 14 inch snare.

The rest are at whatever the last kit went out at.

Here is a quick demo without any added effects at all – so this is what it sounds like.

Peter,

I've got RMIV now and have been looking for a brush-kit ready to load. I can't find it on the samples section of Auditorium - not loaded yet?

Yes it will whip down the line on ADSL :D – I keep forgetting about the dial-up guys, this is just out of reach for them at 25MB thought the server supports resume for download manages (as long as they use a sensible amount of threads, like no more than two)

The 'Spe3d Fully Brushed' will be out at the end of this year, that kit is seriously big though not too sure what I am going to do with that yet.

Best regards,

Peter

Thanks again for your stuff. Very well sampled. Can I ask what preamp you have?

Thanks for your kits.
One thing you can do to help us poor souls who still have dial-up connections is to split your files into smaller chunks. Winrar will do that for you.

Thanks a LOT :hail:

Does the RMIV format contain the waves? Or are they embedded?

Thank you Genetic :D

I have been trying many combinations of external and direct input recording, different mics, pres, mixers, editing etc. the lower case samples in the kit are reaching near to the apex of these combinations that I am pretty happy with so far :D I will probably start to publish a list of some of the kit I use next year – not yet though ;)

Fully Brushed has more cymbals and different pitched drums in various preset combinations :D

That’s an odd message to get Sleepgolfer, I can only suggest making sure the version of RM4 is the latest as the kit was compiled in the latest version, though I am not sure if that would have anything to do with the error you received – it might even be host related – too little info to go on – if you still have the problem with the kit and the latest version of RM4, it might be worth giving LinPlug an email describing the error complete with your host, os and computer hardware configuration, so that they can further investigate, also if others have had similar problems and reported them, then the bug could get fixed.

Ah! Yest, That’s a good idea about spanning an archive like that, thanks :)

Hi! P.T.

RM4 kits come in a combination of a preset just like most other vsti’s but also a directory with propriety files. It converts the waves at time of preset saving into this propriety format – so yes the waves are there – but – only playable in RM4

Thanks all :D

Peter
