I have never heard it. If i'm in someones car i beg them to turn the radio off and put a CD on, and i don't watch any programmes on TV that play pop music. If it's a novelty tune, which i am sure it is, then i'll happily live the rest of my life without hearing it.

Maybe if you listened to it, you'd realise it isn't a novelty song, nor a working class anthem but a touching track about a boy and his dad, by an acoustic duo called Nizlopi who have been garnering praise from the highest levels just recently, after appearances at Glastonbury and Big Green Gathering this year.

Thankfully Im not a radio / mtv type... my car is a Jap import so the radio only goes to 89.9 anyway

Mine goes up to 90. I mean when you're at 89.9 and you just need that extra bit to push you over the edge, where do you go? 90. That's 0.1 more.

I've heard this a number of times in stores / pubs etc so like anything its been overplayed... not a terrible tune & my Da loves the sentiment but its been killed by overplay IMHO!

I agree it's been abit overplayed. I listen to Radio 4 and Radio 2. Obviously the former hasn't playe it much, and I've heard it 4 or 5 times in the last couple of weeks on R2, which is quite a lot for them..

Too true. I'm always in favour of those who come out of nowhere without hype. The Darkness did well for basically self financing something to get 'out there' [I don't much like their music, but the determination is laudable]
