hello.

ive been looking at some of the skins from those mixgalaxy doods, for FL 4 and 5....

im interested in trying it, and also in finding more examples. i cant believe how few there are...

so has anyone here tried it, or know how to? cuz im fairly clueless.... especially with v.5....

and specifically- does anyone know how to change the friggin colors for the fonts in the sample browser? cuz *that* is finally gettin to me.... that combo of colors is starting to eat my mind.

any pointers would be appreciated. danks.

I made a skin for version 4.52, searched on the looptalk board, but it seems to be too old, and its gone, I dont have it saved on my cpu anymore either..

skinning it is extremly simple, just go into the install directory and edit the .bmp files.

:edit: the browser stuff can be changed, I saw a thread about it at looptalk, try searching for it, this was probly a year ago tho, I know it was editing some text file within the FL directory....

ah, cool, thanks.

for some reason i thought that in v.5 it was more complicated than just opening up the bmps and changing colors and stuff. that i can handle. i havent looked at it in v.5 or 6 at all so i dont know, but someone had said that it was not as easy now...

so theres actualy bmps for the little font in the browser? thatd be sweet if i could just change it all at once to whatever color i want....

well thanks. i guess i will start screwin around...

These are some images from a skin that I did, quite some time ago, for version 5. Just some very minor changes to try and simplify it and get it to look somewhat more like an audio app than a video game. Interestingly enough, they seem to have gone in a very similar direction with some of the elements in version 6...

thanks for that link chase. i like the mellow green color sorta. i like the minimal ones. i saw one once that was a full on SX2 version of FL4. it was really nice. but unfortunately i never got the link. so i cant even try to scrap it together... the SX-ish one from the link i posted above looks ok, but i havent installed it or anything...
