It's hardly difficult...DyerMaker wrote:I remeber reading in some forum that they would add som kind of a macro to do the Freeze, is this true?
Mike
1) Arm the mixer channels you want to record (the control is now hanging out there in the breeze for each track).
2) Record the mixer channels to Audio-clips (Alt+R in the mixer, make sure 'Auto create audioc-clip' is selected in the Mixer menu.
3) Disable any Channels involved in the rendering.
Done.
...why is this so hard?
BTW: if you were serious about your music, you wouldn't need to render, get a faster PC
Carb.

Yes. You are only cluttering up the freeway, move over...opia wrote:If your serious about your music but can't afford that faster PC at the moment
should you just stop until you can?

Carb, thanks for your instructions. Its the RAM part thats the problem for me. With my current laptop the max is 1Giga which I have. I have thought of buying BFD Deluxe which would eat up almost all RAM. In ex. Sonar the Freeze frees up the RAM in the process. I know you can do as in your notes, go to BFD and unload the drumset, but I think it should be easier.

That`s no problem with FL 6 any more since Gol built up the "Replace" function ...DyerMaker wrote:Carb, thanks for your instructions. Its the RAM part thats the problem for me. After rendering you can easily replace the "frozen" plugin with p.e. the midi out and keep all "midi parts" ...
To unfreeze replace it again and here we go...
It`s a macro I can live with

Ok, thanks Tranc. Anyways, I need to save the patch also in the plugin, so either to do it in the plugin or export to project bones. Hmmm. I hoped to accomplish all with my right mousebutton.

what a damn lame thing to say...who do you think you are...BTW: if you were serious about your music, you wouldn't need to render, get a faster PC
and I would mean it if I didnt know the sense of humor behind it, and if I didnt have the respect I do for CB...
but you can still buy me a PC if you like

I guess you would have told Duke Ellington that if here was really serious about his music, he would have used a higher grade of napkin to scrawl down new compositions on long train rides.Carbonboy wrote:

How about taking that statement back? (It *will* save you a lot of ridicule in the future.)

For me "p.e." is "per example"

No you don`t have to save the patch in the plugin...you only need to save it as "Save as preset" in the channels window and if you want to restore it you`ll only have to rightclick on the icon on the lefthandside of the preset in fruitys browser...
