Can someone try this ? Set up a loop of say 4 bars and try recording multiple passes of audio . I was using bass guitar in my case .Do you get a glitch/buzz sound everytime the looped section returns to the beginning? The timing also skips at this point I've tried this just playing along to a click or a simple drum part and it always happens . .Upping the Asio buffer doesn't seem to help either .

I have had something similar occur.
I didnt look into it too much because it didnt seem to reoccur consistently.

Good spot -- me too. Also, too many loop triggerings (say more than four) and FLS locks up completely. Weird

I've just re installed FL 5 and I notice these glitches occur in that version as well .

You all guys are making me jealous. I installed FL6 and havent had time to work on it!!!

I get the same glitches. I tried to ask in looptalk but no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I thought they were just a part of the process until I saw the loop recording tutorial.

I just had a look at the loop recording tutorial and he didn't seem to be getting glitches from what i could tell. It seems that there is a problem judging from the replies here but the developers aren't saying anything about it .

Where's Gol when you need 'im, eH? :hihi:

Could be a problem with the way FL handles audio in general, ie, the engine, and therefore non-fixable.

Gol has said in the past this is unavoidable, the glitch and noise, as there is a lot to do on each pass (save a WAV file, create a WAV file, create a new channel, start recording, play back all the above). The trick is to construct your loop with a bar lead-in so you are not trying to play at the very start of each pass. Problem solved.

Carb.

Must be a coding issue then as i can loop record in Samplitude 8.21 without these glitches and noises.

unavoidable?
other apps certainly do it - so it's likely unavoidable with the audio engine/coding in FL in it's present state.
Not knocking FL, 'unavoidable' just seems like a strange (but gol-like) response.

If gol says unavoidable it could mean many things -

"At the moment"
"Based on how much effort I am prepared to put into it"
"Due to FL Architecture"

who knows, but as there is a perfectly acceptable work around, I think you protest too much. It seems people just want to be unhappy nowdays...

I'm cool - I don't use FL personally, although I think it's a phenomenal app, just thought 'unavoidable' was a strange choice of word.
Having said that FL is looking better & better with each incarnation & i'm considering going to see my guy kev 'the boy wonder' to get some more hands on xp with Fl 2 check the SP ;)
