Couldn't we get a few statements from RC and HfH to emphasize the continuous need for money? Just to make it clear that things haven't fixed themselves quite yet?
There is still boatloads of work to be done by both organizations in the affected area - that much will be true for a very long time.

We just are missing the opportunity 'to strike while the iron is hot', to use a cliche.

One of these days, I hope to release a CD to great fanfare; with fans beating down my electronic door for more. When I prepare for that day, I will remember the duplium experience.

My mantra will be: "Must resist urge to go with low bid - must resist urge to go with low bid - must resist urge to go with low bid"

I know that. :)

I'm simply trying to think of a way forward. Yelling at duplium might be fun, but it doesn't build houses in New Orleans...

If we're going to get people to buy this now, so long after the storm left Fox News, we need to do something positive. Blaming the CD manufacturing process might not be the best promotional booster for the project, which I suspect is still about getting money to the aid organizations..?

Yeah -- I guess when there's nothing in it for you, it doesn't read very well, eh? ;)

I have called Duplium for the second day in a row and I left a message. If I don't hear from them in an hour, then I'll try again.

I believe we have been neglected as they realize our mission and priced the service accordingly. I'll make sure to see what they say to that.

I must say I agree with Hovmod. It's easy to cry over spilled milk, but it doesn't help anything.

play your cards right and perhaps they will make a donation...I really didnt want to upset anyone, I apologize if I did, but the important thing is when this is all done we should take some time to look back and see what we can do next time to make things run smoother...an example would be the release forms...on future projects like this, when the song is accepted the form should be sent right away.

But I do not want to take away anything from those who worked so hard, (I'm not saying names because I'm afraid I'll leave someone out ...but you know who you are)...you guys worked very hard, put in the best effort anyone could ask for and I hope Santa heard about it, you guys deserve the best xmas ever...a big Merry xmas from the Hink and family...:D
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Folks, I have received a notification from CDBaby that our CDs have been delivered there. Now there is some paperwork to be done and we should be all set.

Any suggestions as to what we can do "over here", Hovmod?

yeah..waht can we do?

if there's a possibilty to make and perhaps print out some flyers that we can spread around in our own part of the world, that would be a cool thing..whu would make such a flyer tho?

I guess that if the graphics are made available, everyone can print it out themselfs and take it to a copy house our use a few inc cartdriges or summethin'

Gettin the info out to local radiostations is always a good idea...a simple e-mail is an easy thing todo...or why not simply send a few promo CD's out to the major radiostations in US and EU...around 20 CD's could suffice?

music tech mags should be intersted given the amount of dev houses in on this also...there are still a few prices to be won..right?

Indeed Snooky...
I have that old flyer I made, but it would be nice to have a new one reflecting the cd/website graphics. I'll see if I can whip something up later on tonight.

We are definitly going to be sending out some promo cds. I'm not sure exactly where yet, but they'll be sent.

Perhaps it's time we contact CM and FM again...
