... decent industrial groups / artists for me. Im interested more in the slower tempo stuff, kind of like 'Downward Spiral' type sound. I hear little snippets of this music in films and what not, but Iv never really explored it to any great extent.

Just to be clear, Im not especially interested in the industrial techno stuff - its a bit too hefty for even my ears!

Cheers fellas, do your worst

Cheers guys!

Actually, I am familiar with Nitzer Ebb as they've been remixed by just every techno artist on the planet. Little bit 'old skool' for me though just now, Im thinking or something more modern (1990 - present day).

But I will certain check out those others too. Godflesh, they sound nice :hihi:

Thanks again, plentiy to look into there.

Katzenjammer,

Honestly, I dont have much info to offer myself! I know next to nothing about this type of music or its subgenres. I know it can get pretty hard, so Im not looking really into the extremes. Consider this for a basic idea of what Im on about:

- 4/4 beat, 60 - 80bpm
- Various metalic and mechanical sounding percussion elements
- Trashy / noisy guitars
- Saw synth bass line (often chromatic in composition)

I guess much like the NIN sounds from Downward Spiral and Fragile.

I guess you could take the big red marker and draw line over both mine and dystonias suggestions in that case. Hehe. Most of those artist are far from your description. Although, still worth checking out, since they are good bands.

Hm, Skinny Puppy, Sister Machine Gun, some of Ministry. A few songs by Die Krupps and Foetus. Perhaps also a few of KFMDM (although most of their stuff is high speed, you need to check their older songs for slower songs). Most of that should suit your taste I believe.

I'm not too into industrial rock.

Glad I didn't suggest Merzbow or Dissecting Table then!

I had a list and then drew my own red line when I saw these last posts..
