There was a non-emulated version of the port, and i chose that. I also used System Timestamp for DirectMusic ports.

And one of the two (or maybe both) fixed it. :D

Thanks again, and bduffy, I hope this sorts your prob too. 8)
Thanks, Panneweb. I've been really busy so I haven't had a chance to try this - there's been a string of Voice Overs, so I don't like to system-tweak during these times. Plus, I need to go over Bas' forum links, cos this is the first I've heard of this "Timestamp" business!

Thanks very much, all. I'll give this a shot!

Been havin the same problem (worse now in SL3.1 than it used to be in SL).
Hopefully the suggestions will help me cure my problem as well.

Thanks guys!
[EDIT] Oh and thanks pannewb for posting this issue as I was too lazy to. [/EDIT]

Hi Ford.. Thanks for the link... i read it and twas sure quite an insight.. in fact i remember a topic here once, where the problem of double notes getting recorded was discussed and now i see what could have been the cause...

but i have few questions croppng up .. firstly what is the diff between direct music and windows mme ports.. i know what r emulated ports now , after reading that link...

Secondly to view all ports, where do i move the portenabler file from the nuendo directory.. i mean do i just move it out, or do i have to move to some other specific directory... :)

Post

you just move the file out of its folder..

and i think.. i'm not certain, but directmusic is part of directx which uses your cpus higher direct memory access and mmx for accelerated processing - mme is more old fashioned and hard on the cpu..

Hey guys, I'm adding to this thread after reading Ugo's post, I re-read this one, and I'm wondering: what does it mean if all of your DirectMusic ports are [emulated]? Shouldn't I have some that aren't emulated? Do I need any of these???
