The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

yes, I used to like them a lot also saw them live here in Italy, more blues than punk to me,
a lot of years now I don't listen to them,
great beat for sure!

I saw 'em, back in the day. Dunno why, they weren't my thing at all.

Fabulous band :D Wilco got the feel just right, plus he looked the part :D Brilleaux wasn't the best vocalist I've heard, but like Wilco, he got the feel just right. A much underrated R'n'B band imo, when R'n'B meant Rhythm and Blues (what the f#ck does R'n'B stand for now?)
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Great band - possibly the best "pub rock" band (is that a genre??) ever. I have fond memories of doing Dr Feelgood covers in a band I was in when I was about 14 (three chords and some attitude and off you go!).

I think Wilko is an underrated guitarist too - very unusual playing style. Wilko is still going strong (touring at the moment) and is well worth seeing if you get the chance.

If you want to check out their music I'd recommend the live album "Stupidity".

Regards,

Derek.

Thy were very famous here in Spain. I've seen live three or four times in Barcelona. Is one of the bands that made me love Rock and R&B. Brilleaux perhaps wasn't the best singer but had a special strengh live. Underrated IMO too.

the sample you put up sounds like The J. Geils Band, same kind of basic rock n' roll and the singer sounds similar, i would of guessed it was them if i didn't know...
KVR: come for the music, stay for the polemics and grammar lessons...
