Hello,

Even though I've been searching the forum and followed the suggested links, I haven't been able to find a bell sound coming close from the one in the track from AC DC "Hells bells". I found some funeral bells on the net on some free websites but the samples were either of lousy quality or not clean at all ... :?

I would be very very VERY happy if someone could help me to find that sound  ... he/she would get my eternal thanks and blessing ( during Christmas times, that's an offer you can't refuse  )

Shortly said : I would like it a lot

anyone can help ?

Vince

there is a CD called "bells chimes and alarm" published by Auvidis ( 1992 ) that should do the job for you

You can even transpose down another kind of bell-like sound to find something approaching

Just keep in mind though that these soundtakes above are copyrighted products

I just sampled the bell straight off my vinyl Back in Black on my Emax back in 80-something late. You think I've been forgiven by now? :-o

That said back then coverbands were like that. Still are, I suppose. Who the heck are gonna notice when you play live in a bar where everybody has had at least 3 beers?

I tried transposing another bell sound but it sounded bad with a lot of artifacts ... Thanks Krakatau for the tip ... are you 100 % sure I would have what I want on it ? it would be sad to pay for nothing ... ;)
Hmmm I made a quick Google for "bells chimes and alarm Auvidis" and the least I can say is that it doesn't seem to be obvious to find ...

... *SIGH* ... I would just need that bell sound  8)

I wonder if PMI's Church Bell sample library has what you are looking for. They were having a sale, but it still was not cheap.

This is a personal gift for tonight :

www.anak-krakatoa.net/~downl/bells

Theses are similar patches for NN-XT (Reason) EXS24 ( Logic) and MESA (Akai S2000 series)

if you are experience with CDXtract or Translator it shouldn't be a big problem to translate one of them in an appropriate format

Hope it will do the job... or at least, a part of it !
