I am hoping the two effects slots will each have the same effects available, rather than a mod slot and an echo slot.

I remember discussing this, that the idea was to impliment two multieffects units, each drawing from a menu of effect types including the current delay and modulation effects, plus distortion(including the wonderful amp sim found in ManyGuitar), reverb, a ring modulator and maybe a bit crusher. Those would be my requested effects anyway.

Father Christmas brought me this,

Mini Matrix to select FM or AM (Ring Modulation)
per osc!

New OverDrive module with variable size cabinet
and asymmetric distortion!

soon an beta for you to try,

ok you don't have exactly two multieffects units,
but I really like this design, the ECHO is almost a multieffects now, I may add a bit reduction,

IMHO you'd never use (in a synth like EVE) Delay or chorus BEFORE phaser or distortion
