does anyone know where to download some drum kits that have been either lifted from vinyl or sampled via the mpc60 or sp1200? i am looking for some free "gritty" sounding drums. I am currently not able to sample from my vinyl collection and was hopeing someone could provide me with a link or some ideas to get these crunchy/gritty sounds. Really, i do not need a large kit. Just a few kicks and snares.... with gritty sound
thanks
thanks

Distortion units, but they can really get that nice and gritty sound for you
VintageWarmer: $149
Trash: $199
Trash should be the only one you need of those two..

Yeah forgot all about the freebies, use a couple of amp freebies and some lofi crunchers, and you'll get some cool samples
Can't say the SP1200 emulation does much for your sound..

The SP1200 Emu or rather the FX2100 together with the mda degrade will turn your samples to that lovely gritty sound.

Basically there's about a million ways to make something gritty. Just experiment with different plugin chains and settings.
