hello
Need some advice here.I 've heard that when u are using Reason through rewire with let's say Cubase or Ableton Live u are not supposed to put any effects from Reason and just use the host's effects.Just wanted to know how true is that and if it is why?
Thanks

You can use Reason's effects on tracks ReWired into Cubase or Live; that works fine. What you CAN'T do is ReWire Live tracks that have VST effects on them into Cubase; the effects won't load.

Not neccesarily. Its a general assumption that you have better effect plugins in your arsenal than reason, so you can use them on reason's tracks instead of its own effects. If you are fine with reason's effects, then go ahead and use it.
Personally, i think the ONLY two effects processers in Reason that deserve mention are RV7000 reverb and Scream.
RV7000 for its simplicity and good sound, Scream for its ability to make a track...hmm...SCREAM.

Ok so there is nothing in the whole routing that adds problems?
I agree about RV 7000 its easy sounds good and u can use loads of them since they are not too heavy for cpu compared to equal sounding vst reverbs which makes it very useful.Same applies for new effects in Reason 3.0

Using the RV7000 is easier now - I tend to hook it up to the new line mixer 6:2, with tracks sending to the mixer through an audio splitter & the effect set to pre.
